Why we cite Logan City Council and Queensland Government pages

In a growth corridor, unsourced “community feeling” is how false dwelling yields and false flood peaks travel. Named official pages are the antidote.

Warm newsprint field for a sourcing essay.

Every number on this site should survive a click. Logan City Council’s suburb histories name the 1890s name-change, the 1895 school, the 1953 hall, the 1991 high school. BOM names the river. TMR named the $21 million park-and-ride. Treasury named HomeBuilder and then named it closed. QRA named the 2022 activation that included Logan.

Citing those pages is not deference. Council can be late, incomplete or politically framed. BOM can revise a table. The citation is how a reader checks. Unsourced “Logan West will double” copy is how planning arguments go feral.

YMYL files — grants, health, crime — get a harder version of the same rule. See HomeBuilder, the infant-feeding heritage URL, and the crash ethics page.
